Kiva: Make a Loan to an Aspiring Entrepreneur. A great new way to do philanthropy: pick someone in the developing world with a business plan. See a picture of him or her, and read their story. Then, make a $25 loan, which will be pooled with other’s loans. Over time, you’ll hear updates and your loan will be paid back. Great group project for a small faith community, or Confirmation students/sponsors.
Good Counsel Homes. Good Counsel runs a home for homeless, expectant mothers in Riverside, NJ — supported by the Dioceses of Camden and Trenton. Donations are needed to help this essential ministry live their mission.
